We request the government to call an end to BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) policies in South Africa. These policies are not beneficial to economic growth as they lead to skill shortages and unskilled individuals being placed in positions that they are not prepared for. The leads to costs to the company and costs to the country as skilled individuals leave the country for better prospects.
ESKOM is a prime example of the success of BEE.
While BEE has had its merits to address issues of the past, we believe that true growth will come through hiring the right person for the job and allowing skills to transfer and increase through natural processes.
BEE is only directed at whites and in its nature is racist. If we are to become a truly integrated society - then barriers such as BEE needs to be scrapped. Its obvious that BEE has not succeeded and is a negative artifact of the past like Apartheid.
And just like Apartheid, BEE only benefits a few.
We as peace loving committed South Africans, ask for a "sell by date" to be applied to BEE.
A positive step such as this can only garner a much more positive outlook for all of South Africa and attract talented and skilled people back into our country.
